ANNA, Ill. -- Neva Carter Davis, 96, of Anna died Sunday, March 27, 2005, at City Care Center.

She was born March 13, 1909, in Union County, Ill., daughter of Willis and Susan Prater Earnhart. She first married Dennis Carter, and later married Raymond Davis.

Davis retired from the former Anna State Hospital.

Survivors include a daughter, Lois Benson of Anna; a son, Jerry Carter of Buncombe, Ill.; three grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by both husbands, two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Anna from 6 to 8 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Kim Capel officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
