NEOMA YOUNG

Neoma Ruth Young, 57, 510 S. West End Boulevard, died Thursday, Jan. 9, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born Feb. 17, 1939, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of John Edward and Flora Tune Stephens. She and Robert M. Young Sr. were married in January 1958, in Cape Girardeau.

Young was a waitress 17 years, and then was a private duty nurse 12 years. She was a member of Cape Girardeau Church of God.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Robert Young Jr. of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Ruth Warren and Cynthia Smith of Cape Girardeau; her mother, Flora Riley of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Billy Stephens of Malden, John Stephens of Scott City; a sister, Clara Lange of Cape Girardeau; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and sister.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4-9 p.m. Saturday.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Rev. John S. Goff officiating. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum.
