PERRYVILLE - Nellie Propst Prevallet Porter died Friday, June 7, 1991, at the American Care Center in Perryville at age 82.
She was born Aug. 23, 1908, in Sedgewickville, the daughter of Henry Eli and Mary Molly Statler Propst.
She was married to Irl E. Prevallet on Oct. 1, 1930. He preceded her in death on May 15, 1944. She married Clarence I. Porter on Feb. 17, 1945. He died on Feb. 13, 1986.
She is survived by one son, Richard I. Prevallet of Cape Girardeau; three stepchildren, Harold Porter of Ft. Worth, Texas, Robert Porter of Perryville and Gwen Tipp of Benicia, Calif.; one brother, Dale Propst of Sedgewickville; two grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren and 21 step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Carrie Seabaugh, and two brothers, Harley Propst and Alex Propst.
She was retired from the International Shoe Co., and she was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Visitation will be at Young and Sons Funeral in Perryville from 6-8 p.m. today and until 10:30 a.m. Monday. The body will be taken to Immanuel Lutheran Church for services at 11 a.m. Monday. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The Rev. Donald Loesch will officiate.
