CHARLESTON -- Nellie Mae Thurman Miller, 58, of Charleston died of an extended illness Tuesday, Nov. 21, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born May 10, 1937, in Arkansas, daughter of Charles and Edna Dalton Thurman.

Miller lived in Mississippi County for most of her life.

Survivors include three sons, Rick Miller Jr. of Mayo, Fla., Randy Miller of East Brundstat, Ky., and Rocky Miller of Charleston; two daughters, Barbara DeGarcia of Charleston and Tina Skinner of Grayridge; four sisters, Doris Graham and Pat Starks, both of Springfield, Sally Cox of Charleston and Edith Ivie of Poplar Bluff; and 10 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home in Charleston after 6 p.m. today.

Graveside funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Odd Fellows Cemetery, near Charleston. The Rev. Carl Cox will officiate.
