CAIRO, Ill. -- Nellie L. Hodges Frey, 78, of Cairo died Wednesday, Aug. 21, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born May 2, 1918, in Cairo, the daughter of the late Liston and Jennie Crippen Hodges. She was a member of the Cairo Senior Citizens Club.
Her husband John Dennis Frey died in 1985.
She is survived by a daughter, Corien Sullivan of Sikeston; three sons, Art Frey of Corumma, Mich., and John D. Frey Jr. and Harry Thomas Frey, both of Cairo; three sisters, Wilma Williams of Cairo, Rossie Bingaman of Ullin and Margaret Tibbs of Cunningham, Ky.; three brothers, Arthur Hodges of Tamms, Herbert Hodges of Cairo and Robert Hodges of Mounds; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit after 5 p.m. today at the Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo and after 10 a.m. Saturday at the Assembly of God Church in Cairo. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Assembly of God Church, with the Revs. Wilma Williams and Mickeal Quillman officiating. Burial will be in the Spencer Heights Cemetery in Mounds.
