BLOOMFIELD -- Funeral service for Nellie Green of Bloomfield will be held at 1 p.m. today at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Dallas Reagan officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery near Puxico.
Green, 99, died Sunday, Nov. 6, 1994, at Bloomfield Nursing Center.
She was born Aug. 22, 1895, in Harrisburg, Ill., daughter of Alfred Leroy and Cora Elizabeth Dempsey Creed. She and Clarence Alvin Green were married Nov. 28, 1914, at Puxico. He died Oct. 24, 1968.
Green was a member of the First Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include two sons, Lowell and Vern Green of Bloomfield; three daughters, Mona Evans of Puxico, Ernestine Button and Ethel Blue of St. Louis; a brother, Doy Creed of Bloomfield; two sisters, Carrie Capps of Washington, Mo., Eunice Slotten of Madison, Wis.; nine grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, three brothers and a sister.
