NELLIE GIBBAR

PERRYVILLE -- Nellie E. Gibbar, 86, of Perryville died Sunday, Jan. 18, 1998, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born July 10, 1911, at Perryville, daughter of Prince Edward and Marcella Mary Richardet Wood. She and Arthur Joseph Gibbar were married Dec. 30, 1929. He died Oct. 30, 1976.

Gibbar had worked in the cafeteria at St. Vincent's School. She was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church.

Survivors include a brother, Melvin "Moe" Wood, a sister, Ollie Streiler, both of Perryville; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, five brothers, and a sister.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent's Church, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating.
