NELDA V. STEFFENS

FROHNA - Nelda V. Steffens of Frohna died Friday, Dec. 7, 1990, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. She was 63.

She was born Nov. 7, 1927, in Wittenberg, daughter of Gerhardt and Josephine Kassel Weber. She married Leo Steffens Nov. 3, 1946.

Survivors include her husband; sons Vaughn, Randall and Daniel Steffens, all of Frohna; a daughter, Linda Palisch of Altenburg; brothers Oscar Weber of Jackson, Floyd Weber of Cape Girardeau, Elton and Gilbert Weber of Frohna; a sister, Dorothy McDonald of Cape Girardeau; eight grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.

A brother preceded her in death.

She was a member and choir director at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altenburg, and member of the Ladies Aid. She also a Sunday School teacher, member of the Lutheran Womens Missionary League, and past president of Rural Letter Carriers Auxiliary.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. today at Immanuel Church. The Rev. Paul Lohnes will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.
