NEIL CRECELIUS

EAST PRAIRIE -- Elijah Neil Crecelius of Avondale, Ariz., formerly of East Prairie, died Friday, July 16, 1999. He was born Nov. 24, 1916, in Caruthersville, son of Earl and Leila Merrick Crecelius. Crecelius moved to Tucson, Ariz., in 1962 from Mississippi County, and moved to Avondale in 1993. He and Irma Griggs were married June 5, 1938...

EAST PRAIRIE -- Elijah Neil Crecelius of Avondale, Ariz., formerly of East Prairie, died Friday, July 16, 1999.

He was born Nov. 24, 1916, in Caruthersville, son of Earl and Leila Merrick Crecelius.

Crecelius moved to Tucson, Ariz., in 1962 from Mississippi County, and moved to Avondale in 1993. He and Irma Griggs were married June 5, 1938.

He was a retired business owner, and member of First Southern Baptist Church in Avondale.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Beverly Carden; a son, Richard Crecelius; a brother, Calvin Crecelius; a sister, Mary Henley; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Southern Baptist Church.
