DEXTER -- Nathan Hubert "Doc" Corbin, 74, of Dexter, died Thursday, March 24, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Dec. 12, 1919, at Greenbriar, son of Clyde and Pearl Watkins Corbin. He and Betty Carwile Henderson were married March 7, 1975.
Corbin graduated from Zalma High School, attended Southeast Missouri State University, and received a degree in agriculture from the University of Missouri in 1950.
He was a housing director in North and South Dakota with the Department of the Interior in the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Corbin served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Nathan Corbin of Douglas, N.D., Jerry Corbin of Twentynine Palms, Calif., Bill Link of Dexter; two daughters, Gayla Sumpter of Henryville, Ind., Cheryl Zimmerman of Dexter; three brothers, Claud and Paul Corbin of Advance, Harold Corbin of Goldendale, Wash.; four sisters, Gavada Woodfin of Zalma, Betty Cato of Cape Girardeau, Willadean Lloyd of Anchorage, Alaska, Joan Cole of Independence; eight grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter after 2 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Clinton Woodfin officiating. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery, with military rites.
