Nathan Kelly "Nate" Mathis, 43, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born Feb. 26, 1958, at Dexter, Mo., son of Willie F. and Dathel L. Graves Mathis.

Mathis owned and operated Home Entertainment Service and was a video technician. He was a member of Lynwood Baptist Church.

Survivors include his mother of Sikeston, Mo.; his father of Lexington, Tenn.; a sister, Melanie Hatley of Jackson, Tenn.; and a friend, Charmalee Waidtlow of Cape Girardeau.

Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Jackson officiating.
