MOREHOUSE -- Naomi Ruth Vaughn, 78 of Morehouse, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2000, at Rockford Memorial Hospital at Rockford, Ill.
She was born May 14, 1921, in Senath, daughter of Zelmer Clarence and Callie Ann Williams Butler.
She and Johnie Dallas Vaughn were married Oct. 23, 1937, at Kewanee. He died Oct. 5, 1997.
She had lived in Rockford for 31 years where she had worked for F.W. Means 18 years, retiring in 1983 and moving to Morehouse.
Survivors are a son, Farrell Vaughn of Reno, Nev.; a daughter, Bonnie Sweeney of McChesney Park, Ill.; three brothers, Raybern Butler of Malvern, Ark., and the Revs. Billie Butler and Gaylon Butler, both of Sikeston; three sisters, Annabelle Ditto of Port Byron, Ill., Wenzola McTernan of Caruthersville and Ernestene Marion of Lilbourn; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, a daughter, sister and brother.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the First Pentecostal Church in Sikeston, with the Revs. Richard Whitman and Billie Butler officiating.
Interment will be at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
