Naomi Alpha Conrad, 90, of Cape Girardeau, died Thursday, Feb. 11, 1993, at Cape LaCroix. She was born March 13, 1902, at Sedgewickville, daughter of Rev. Caruther V. and Rosetta Pavey Conrad. She married Lauren Vern Conrad Dec. 28, 1921. He died in January 1951...

Naomi Alpha Conrad, 90, of Cape Girardeau, died Thursday, Feb. 11, 1993, at Cape LaCroix.

She was born March 13, 1902, at Sedgewickville, daughter of Rev. Caruther V. and Rosetta Pavey Conrad. She married Lauren Vern Conrad Dec. 28, 1921. He died in January 1951.

Conrad moved here in 1949, and was a member of Third Street United Methodist Church.

Survivors include seven sons, Harold "Sam", Paul "Diz", Jerry and Mark Conrad of Cape Girardeau, Wilbur "Chub" Conrad of Chaffee, Truman "Jack" Conrad of Patton, Pat Conrad of Jackson; a daughter, June Borgfield of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Esther Propst James of Cape Girardeau; 27 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a son, daughter, two sisters and three grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. The Rev. William Dickey will officiate, with burial in Sedgewickville Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
