MORLEY, Mo. -- Nancy "Nana" Loraine Pruett, daughter of the late Edward Andrew McMullin and Dollie Hazel Newell-McMullin, was born Oct. 19, 1945, in Morley and departed this life Friday, May 21, 2021, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau at the age of 75 years.

Nana was a crazy lady, who enjoyed collecting anything she thought was pretty, especially dolls. She was known for her unique voice that could be heard in any crowd. She was spoiled by her parents, siblings, husband, children and grandchildren all of her life.

On May 27, 1962, she was united in marriage to Charles Elwin Pruett Jr. in Morley. He preceded her in death Nov. 9, 2001

Nana is survived by her daughter and best friend, Dolly (David) Kluesner of Chaffee, Missouri; son, Edward Andrew Pruett of St. Petersburg, Florida; sister, Edna Nelson of Springdale, Arkansas; brother, Andrew (Alma) McMullin of Benton, Missouri; sisters-in-law, Tootie McMullin of Morley, Betty Jo (Dennis) Carnell of Leadwood, Missouri, Nancy Pruitt of Morley, Frances (Larry) Schmidt of Hillsboro, Missouri, and Sharon Noah of Cape Girardeau; grandchildren, Samantha (Matt) Peters of Patton, Missouri, and Jerome Kluesner of Chaffee; great-grandchildren, Dierks Simmons, Hailey Peters and Abby Kluesner; many nieces and nephews; and great friends who really adored her. She was also Nana to many of her grandchildren's friends. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Daisy.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Marvin and Lloyd McMullin; sisters, Mary Hall and Lola Bessa; and brothers-in-law, Robert Nelson, David Pruitt and Vernon Pruitt.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in the Old Morley Cemetery in Morley.
