Nancy L. Dixon Brown Mechling, 66, of Jackson, formerly of Golconda, Ill., went home to be with our Lord Monday, April 28, 2014, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Feb. 18, 1948, in Fort Benning, Ga., daughter of Wilburn Earl and Lillian Louise Lievers Dixon.
Survivors include two daughters, Kristi (Mark) Brown Patterson of Kearns, Utah, and Lynne (Phil) Brown Packard of St. George, Utah; her father, Wilburn Dixon of Golconda; five sisters, Kay (Mark) Kielhofner of Oran, Mo., Teri Northern of Witter, Ark., Rebecca (Bobby) Sisco and Cindy (Randy) Belford of Golconda and Rose (Curtis) McIntyre of Jackson; a brother, Steven Dixon of Golconda; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Louise Dixon; a brother, Wilburn Dixon Jr.; two sisters, Ruthanne Clutts and Debbie Jones; and maternal and paternal grandparents.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to service time Friday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance, Mo.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Brian Gill officiating. Burial will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery near Bloomfield, Mo.
