CHARLESTON -- Nancy Elizabeth Short, 43, of Charleston, died Monday, May 24, 1993, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Aug. 14, 1949, in Cairo, Ill., daughter of Earl M. and Lucille Grider DeLine. She and Henry W. Short Sr. were married in November 1975.
Short was a licensed practical nurse at Doctors Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, retiring in 1990 because of ill health. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Andrew and Matthew Short of the home; a daughter, Amy Short of the home; her mother of Charleston; a stepson, Henry Short Jr. of Scott City; two stepdaughters, Debbie DeLacruz and Nina Chastain of Scott City; a sister, Marilyn DeLine of Charleston, and five stepgrandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at McMikle Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Gerald Collier will officiate, with burial in IOOF Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 4:30 p.m. today.
