Nadine Welker

MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Nadine Welker, 89, of Marble Hill passed away Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016, at her home, surrounded by her family and friends.

She was born Nov. 29, 1926, in Marble Hill, daughter of Ransom J. and Effie Limbaugh Garland. She and Virgil Welker were united in marriage Sept. 18, 1943, and he passed away July 19, 2014.

Nadine was a homemaker, of the Baptist faith and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include daughter-in-law Carolyn Welker; daughters Thelma (Doug) Miles and Doris Bailey, all of Marble Hill; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-stepgrandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son Larry Woodrow; brothers Willie, Jay, Wilson and Woodrow Garland; sisters Lillie Mecker, Bird Cook, Mary Moore, Ann Long and Nancy Long; four infant brothers and sisters; and an infant great-grandson, Luke Duperier.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

The funeral service will at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jimmie Fulbright and Jimmy Miles officiating. Burial will be in Hurricane Fork Cemetery near Marble Hill.
