Nadine Alpha Carlson, 80, of Cape Girardeau, died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2001, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born May 4, 1921, in Newton County, Ind., daughter of Ernest and Genevieve Tabler Crum. She and Rudolph Frederick Carlson were married Jan. 4, 1940. He died Dec. 21, 1997.
Carlson spent her childhood in Indiana, and then moved to Joliet, Ill., where she worked a number of years at Nelson's Dairy. She recently moved to Cape Girardeau from Portland, Ore. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Joliet and Daughters of the American Revolution.
Survivors include a son, Rudolph Carlson of Morris, Ill.; two daughters, Deborah Carlson of Cape Girardeau, Kathleen Ramirez of San Diego, Calif.; three brothers, Dwight Crum of Plantation, Fla., Chester Crum of state of Alabama, Justice Dean Crum of Bloomington, Ill.; two sisters, Ethelda Smith of Lena, Ill., Christina Callahan of Neenah, Wis.; six grandsons; and four great-grandchildren.
There is no visitation or service.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
