EAST PRAIRIE -- Nadine Bell Swann, 73, of East Prairie died Friday, Dec. 8, 1995, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center following an extended illness.
She was born May 5, 1922, in Mississippi County, daughter of Manuel and Vivian Octavie Grider Bell. She lived most of her life in Mississippi County, where she was a member of the St. James General Baptist Church in East Prairie. She was married to Arvin G. Swann, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sons, Thomas and Rodger Swann, of East Prairie; a daughter, Linda Sumpter of East Prairie; two brothers, John Bell of East Prairie and Paul Bell of Bandana, Ky.; two sisters, Irene Allen of East Prairie and Alma Doris Archie of Hickman, Ky.; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, a sister, two stepsisters, a stepbrother and her stepmother, Jessie Brown Bell.
Funeral services will be held today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie at 1 p.m., with David Dowdy officiating. Burial will be in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation was held Friday.
