VANDUSER -- Myrtle Bea White, 80, of Vanduser died Tuesday, April 28, 1998, at Miner Nursing Center.
She was born Nov. 27, 1917, in Franklin County, Ala., daughter of Clint and Lela Singleton Burks. She and Roy Jackson were married Oct. 10, 1936. He died in February 1951.
White worked in the restaurant business in Charleston before retiring.
Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Casey of Vanduser; a son, William Jackson of Charleston; a brother, Lois Burks of Red Bay, Ala.; a sister, Mammie Parker of Red Bay; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, a sister, four brothers, a great-grandson, and her stepmother.
Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Ebeneezer Baptist Church, with burial in Wright's Cemetery at Vina, Ala.
