She was born Sept. 13, 1909, in Sedgewickville, daughter of Granison and Clara Johnson Barks. She and Clyde Whaley were married May 31, 1934. He died Jan. 30, 1969. Mrs. Whaley was a member of the Whitewater Presbyterian Church and the Willing Helpers Homemakers Club...

She was born Sept. 13, 1909, in Sedgewickville, daughter of Granison and Clara Johnson Barks. She and Clyde Whaley were married May 31, 1934. He died Jan. 30, 1969.

Mrs. Whaley was a member of the Whitewater Presbyterian Church and the Willing Helpers Homemakers Club.

Survivors include two sons, Donald Whaley of Sedgewickville and Robert Whaley of Imperial, Mo.; four daughters, Shelby Reagan of Patton, Mo., Peggy Whaley of Sedgewickville, Mary Barks of Greenville, Mo., and Sue Huckstep of Jackson, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, four brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Whitewater Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Donald Blaylock officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
