Myrtle Violet Riehn, 85, 1927 N. Kingshighway, died Friday, May 2, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Nov. 4, 1911, in St. Louis, daughter of Charles and Goldie Spanswick Wade. She married Troy Hobeck Aug. 18, 1928. He preceded her in death.
She later married Dayton Riehn on March 22, 1991.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Carl Hobeck of Chester, Ill., and Larry Hobeck of Sparta, Ill.; four daughters, Lois Edwards and Anna Dean Turnbough, both of Jackson, Jackie Roberts of Cape Girardeau and Delores Norman of East Moline, Ill.; a sister, Grace Hopkins of St. Louis; two stepsons; three stepdaughters; 25 grandchildren; and 43 great-grandparents.
She was preceded in death by three children.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.
Funeral service will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Dean Heady will officiate, with burial to follow at New Salem Cemetery in Daisy.
