MARBLE HILL -- Myrtle Myers, 86, of Marble Hill died June 11, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born March 1, 1911, at Lutesville, daughter of Columbus and Edna Wycoff Chadd. She and the Rev. Orville Myers were married Dec. 25, 1928. He died April 8, 1996.
The Myers pastored many General Baptist churches. She was a member of Aquilla General Baptist Church.
Survivors include five sons, Orville Myers of Marble Hill, Paul Myers of East Alton, Ill., Eudell Myers of Bethalto, Ill., Irving Myers of Dexter, William Myers of Jackson; a daughter, Laverne Eaker of Paris, Ill.; 16 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, three brothers, a grandchild, and a great-grandchild.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Naamon Eaker and grandsons, the Revs. Bill and Jason Myers officiating. Burial will be in Dry Creek Cemetery near Marble Hill.
