MYRTLE D. KING

OAK RIDGE -- Myrtle Dessie King, 86, of Oak Ridge, died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 1993, at Deal Nursing Home in Jackson.

She was born Oct. 6, 1906, at Sedgewickville, daughter of Francis and Melvine Crites Hahs. She and Elmer King were married June 22, 1940, at Benton. He died May 12, 1984.

King had worked at International Shoe Co., and was a member of Sargent's Chapel Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two sons, Bill and Mike King of Oak Ridge; a daughter, Mary Ann Statler of Millersville; a sister, Edna Hopkins of Jackson; seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Chapel in Jackson. The Rev. Mary Waudby will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
