ADVANCE -- Myrl "Mose" Fowler, 74, of Advance died Thursday, June 10, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born June 25, 1924, at Goose Pond Hill, son of George and Bertie Pohlman Fowler. He and Ruth Hitt were married April 2, 1960. She died Nov. 5, 1995...

ADVANCE -- Myrl "Mose" Fowler, 74, of Advance died Thursday, June 10, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born June 25, 1924, at Goose Pond Hill, son of George and Bertie Pohlman Fowler. He and Ruth Hitt were married April 2, 1960. She died Nov. 5, 1995.

Fowler was a welder at Missouri Dry Dock, and also drilled wells. He attended Christian Life Church.

Survivors include a son, Brad Fowler of Cape Girardeau; three brothers, Don Fowler of Dexter, Robert Fowler of Advance, Ralph Fowler of Chicago; four sisters, Ruby VanGennip, Jewell Umfleet and Mildred Harnes of Advance, Dorthy Jones of Casa Grande, Ariz.; and two granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Kim Ferguson and James Johns officiating. Burial will be in Collins Cemetery near Zalma.
