ANNA, Ill. -- Mrs. Violet Williams, 92, of Anna, died Friday, Aug. 5, 1994, at the Hillside Terrace Nursing Facility at Cobden.
She was born July 16, 1902, in Granite City, Ill., daughter of Lewis Alvin and Sara Verble Carlock.
She married Claude R. Williams on Nov. 27, 1926. He preceded her in death Sept. 8, 1966.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Anna, member of the Golden Rule Sunday School class, member and past Matron of Anna Star Chapter #522 of the Order of the Eastern Star and a 60-year member of the Royal Neighbors of America.
She was a retired psychiatric aide at Choate Mental Health and Development Center in Anna.
She is survived by several cousins.
Service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Crain Funeral Home in Anna, with the Rev. Larry Shacklee officiating. Interment will be in Anna Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Monday.
An Eastern Star service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
