CAIRO, Ill. -- Morgan A. "Buddy" Greer, 62, of Wickliffe, Ky. and formerly of Cairo, died Tuesday, March 9, 1993, at his home. He was born July 15, 1930, at Carrolton, Mo., the son of Roscoe and Inez Eddleman Greer. He was a retired riverboat mate and was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Cairo Elks Lodge #651, and an associate member of the Cairo Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2649...

CAIRO, Ill. -- Morgan A. "Buddy" Greer, 62, of Wickliffe, Ky. and formerly of Cairo, died Tuesday, March 9, 1993, at his home.

He was born July 15, 1930, at Carrolton, Mo., the son of Roscoe and Inez Eddleman Greer.

He was a retired riverboat mate and was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Cairo Elks Lodge #651, and an associate member of the Cairo Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2649.

He is survived by three brothers, Joseph R. and William M. Greer, both of Cairo, and Drexel K. Greer of Mounds.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo, where funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Kenneth Provines will officiate, and burial will be in the Ohio Chapel Cemetery in Grand Chain.
