Monti Ferronato

Dr. Monti Jerome Ferronato, 49, of Jackson, passed away Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015.

Monti was born Dec. 19, 1965, in St. Louis.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Kimberly Helt Ferronato; his loving mother, Mary Montgomery Ferronato; his sister, Margo (John) Sample; two nieces, Shelby and Samantha Sample; one uncle, Troy Howell Montgomery; and three step children, Jordan Melvin, Liz Melvin Zahoran and Hannah Melvin.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jerome Ferronato.

He was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University, and after a few years working as a chemist, he attended Palmer Chiropractic College in Davenport, Iowa, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1995. He practiced chiropractic in Farmington, Missouri, and Cape Girardeau.

At the time of his death, he was employed by Mondi Jackson Inc.

Monti had a great love and compassion for animals. He also had a passion for music, and especially loved to sing.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Cape La Croix Methodist Church.

Memorial gifts may be made to The Humane Society of Southeast Missouri.
