Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. today.

Quick, 72, died Monday, Sept. 2, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born March 28, 1930, in Portageville, Mo., son of Frederick C. and Rosie K. Bridges Quick. He and Clara Elizabeth Nichols were married Sept. 4, 1954, in East Prairie, Mo.

Quick retired as a mechanic at Dean Taylor Cadillac Olds, and had formerly farmed in the Portageville area. He was a member of Northside Gospel Church.

He served in the U.S. Army from September 1951 to September 1953.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Allen Quick of Jackson, Mo., Clyde Quick of Sikeston, Mo.; a sister, Imogene McGregor of Pontiac, Mich.; a brother, Paul Quick of Pontiac; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
