Miriam Ester Roth, 95, of Cape Girardeau passed away Friday, Feb. 25, 2022, at her home, with family by her side.

She was born Nov. 27, 1926, in Fornfelt to the late Clyde W. and Essie Keesee. She and Vernon C. Roth Sr. were married July 19, 1946. He preceded her in death May 12, 1996.

Miriam retired from Florsheim Shoe Factory, and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her children, Vernon (Janet) Roth of Cape Girardeau, Linda (Bob) Perkins of Fruitland, Mona Dockins of Oak Ridge, Rick (Sue) Roth of Jackson and Jeff (Karen) Roth of Jackson; daughter-in-law, Jan Roth of Jackson; son-in-law, Danny Monroe of Cape Girardeau; sisters, Norma Corbin of Cahokia, Illinois, and Deloris Eifert of Cape Girardeau; 17 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Carolyn Monroe; son, Gary Roth; and son-in-law, Don Dockins.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Pastor Douglas C. Breite officiating. Entombment will follow at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Southeast Hospice.
