MINNIE SCHUMER

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Minnie C. Schumer, 79, of Perryville died Monday, Nov. 6, 2000, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born Dec. 13, 1920, at Millheim, Mo., daughter of Bernard and Julie Barks Huber. She and Herman J. Schumer Jr. were married July 11, 1939. He died Aug. 13, 1996.

Schumer was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Survivors include five sons, Russell Schumer of Old Appleton, Mo., Roger Schumer of St. Louis, Allen and Stephen Schumer of Perryville, Gary Schumer of Orlando, Fla.; two daughters, Kathy McCune and Mary Schafroth of Perryville; 25 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and five great-stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. today, and Thursday from 6:30-9:40 a.m. Parish wake will be at 7.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent's Church. The Rev. Kevin Fausz will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
