JONESBORO, Ill. -- Minnie J. Parcell, 85, of Jonesboro died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2001, at Jonesboro Healthcare Center. She was born July 8, 1916, in Jonesboro, daughter of Jefferson H. and Clara Weiss Slicker. She and Charles F. (Chuck) Parcell were married Sept. 14, 1934. He died Sept. 6, 1989...

JONESBORO, Ill. -- Minnie J. Parcell, 85, of Jonesboro died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2001, at Jonesboro Healthcare Center.

She was born July 8, 1916, in Jonesboro, daughter of Jefferson H. and Clara Weiss Slicker. She and Charles F. (Chuck) Parcell were married Sept. 14, 1934. He died Sept. 6, 1989.

Parcell had been a home health care provider. She was a lifelong member of Jonesboro Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Ceclia Barker of Georgetown, Ill.; two sons, Charles Parcell of Mt. Prospect, Ill., Samuel Parcell of Lexington, N.C.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. today.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Jonesboro Cemetery.
