KARNAK, Ill. -- Mrs. Mina E. Parrish, 100, of Grand Chain died Friday, Oct. 17, 1997, at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home in Metropolis.

She was born Aug. 11, 1897 in Marion.

She was a member of the Ohio Chapel United Methodist Church near Grand Chain. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by a son, Henry Parrish, Grand Chain; daughters, Elizabeth Williamson, Hasting, Minn., and Eleanor Romano, Millington, Tenn.; a brother, Webster Eason, Marion; a sister, Lillie Henderson, Marion; 20 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto Parrish, in 1971, and a son, Clifford Parrish.

Service will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak with the Rev. Joey Dunning officiating. Burial will be in Busby Cemetery at Goreville.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. today.
