JACKSON -- Milton O. Kurre, 91, of Jackson, died Friday, March 4, 1994, at Deal Nursing Home in Jackson.
He was born Jan. 16, 1903, at Oak Ridge, son of Ira and Linnie Kayser Kurre.
On March 21, 1927, he married Ruth Penny. She died in May 1960.
Kurre was a self-employed auto mechanic for 12 years. He later was employed by Ford Groves for over 50 years as a car and tractor salesman. He retired in 1975.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Jackson and Excelsior Lodge 441, AF and AM, of Jackson.
Survivors are sons, Penny M. Kurre, Jackson, and David E. Kurre, St. Charles; daughters, Helen Statler, St. Charles, and Mollie Lowes, Jackson; brothers, Edwin, Fred and Alonzo Kurree, all of Friedheim; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Service will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Grant F.C. Gillard officiating. Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery at Daisy.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today. A Masonic service will be conducted at the funeral home at 7 tonight.
