KELSO, Mo. -- Milton Hubert Hibbing, 70, of Riverside, Calif., died in an automobile accident Oct. 18, 2000.
He was born Feb. 28, 1930, in Paullina, Iowa, son of Ernest and Evelyn Hibbing.
Milton served his country from 1950 to 1954 in the U.S. Air Force, where he received the National Defense Service Medal. His tour of duty incl-uded England and the United States.
On Sept. 11, 1955, he was united in marriage to Marie Ziegler in Benton, Mo. After their marriage the couple moved to California.
In 1965, Milton received a bachelor of science degree from the University of Southern California.
Milton leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Marie E. Hibbing; two sons, Stephen Hibbing and Mark Hibbing; two daughters, Helen Hibbing and Yvonne Hibbing; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Milton enjoyed music and dance and was active in the American Slovenian Polka Foundation, the Fontana Slovene Button Accordion Club, and various square dance groups.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, Mo., with burial immediately following in the church cemetery.
Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel at Scott City, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.
