CHARLESTON -- Milton Clack, age 80, of Charleston, died Tuesday night, May 19, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Oct. 12, 1911, in Bridges, Mo., in Mississippi County. He was the son of the Rev. Sterling Madison and Minnie Groves Clack. He lived in Mississippi County his entire life.
He was owner and operator of Central Food Grocery Store for 45 years until his retirement in 1978. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Charleston.
On Dec. 25, 1938, he married Ida Ruth Black, who survives.
He is survived by one son David Clack on Lakewood, Colo.; one daughter, Mary Anne DeLine of Charleston; and three grandchildren. Four brothers and five sisters preceded him in death.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Thursday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. The funeral will begin at 2 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Gerald Collier of the First Baptist Church in Charleston officiating. Internment will be in the IOOF Cemetery.
