WHITEWATER -- Milton Ardell Rhodes, 76, of Whitewater, died Monday, Sept. 13, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 5, 1917, at Whitewater, son of Louis L. and Mary Jane Hedge Rhodes.
Rhodes was a retired metal polisher with Duro-Chrome Manufacturing Co. in St. Louis. He was a member of VFW Post 3838 in Cape Girardeau. Rhodes served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include a daughter, Jane Chetsney of Arnold; three sisters, Geneva Dirden of Cape Girardeau, Loretta Crites of Whitewater, Amy Surlet of Advance; two grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. The Rev. Arvil Huffman will officiate, with burial in Crump Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today.
