Millicent Arlene "Millie" Fluegge, 85, of Jackson passed away Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2019, at Monticello House in Jackson. She was born April 25, 1934, in Elsberry, Missouri, daughter of Henry William and Feodora Philipps Biester. Millie was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post No. 3838 in Cape Girardeau. Millicent Arlene "Millie" Fluegge, 85, of Jackson passed away Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2019, at Monticello House in Jackson.

She was born April 25, 1934, in Elsberry, Missouri, daughter of Henry William and Feodora Philipps Biester.

Millie was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post No. 3838 in Cape Girardeau. Millie enjoyed collecting lighthouses and angel figurines

Loving survivors include her children, Mark (Mary Beth) Fluegge of Cape Girardeau, David (Debbie) Fluegge of Hillsboro, Missouri, Bruce (Tammy) Fluegge of Sedgewickville, Missouri, and Tammy (Tom) Sladek of Oak Ridge; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister, Alberta Wilke of Jackson; sister-in-law, Judy Biester of Cape Girardeau; and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings, Elvira Best and J.G. and Melvin Biester.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Elijah Allen officiating. Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

The family suggests contributions be made to a church or charity of the donor's choice.
