MILLIE ADAMS

SCOTT CITY -- Millie Adams, 91, of West Alton, Ill., died Saturday, Feb. 14, 1998, at Village North Manor in Florissant.

She was born Dec. 19, 1906, daughter of Axel T. and Hannah G. Davis Kjer. She and Harry Adams were married Dec. 24, 1928. He died May 5, 1993.

Adams was a graduate of Illmo High School. She had lived in West Alton since 1938. She had formerly been active in church, school and civil work.

Survivors include a twin son and daughter, Harold Adams of Hermann, Harriett Elder of West Alton; another daughter, Nancy Miller of Colorado; another son, Erik Adams of Bunker Hill, Ill.; two sisters, Fanny Kjer and Agnes Hopke of Scott City; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter and a brother.

Funeral service will be held Thursday at Community Church in West Alton.

Burk Funeral Home in Alton, Ill., is in charge of arrangements.
