CHARLESTON -- Mildred Williams, 79, of Charleston, died Monday, Sept. 7, 1992, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. She was born June 19, 1913, in Oakville, Ky., daughter of James Payton and Sudie Ann Blackburn Lane. She married Harold Williams in 1938. He preceded her in death...

CHARLESTON -- Mildred Williams, 79, of Charleston, died Monday, Sept. 7, 1992, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born June 19, 1913, in Oakville, Ky., daughter of James Payton and Sudie Ann Blackburn Lane. She married Harold Williams in 1938. He preceded her in death.

Williams attended Southside Baptist Church.

Survivors include a brother, Carl Lane of Wickliffe, Ky.; two sisters, Louise Swank and Thelma Laird of Charleston.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at McMikle Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Glenn Rogers will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today.
