CHARLESTON -- Mildred Wallace, 82, of Charleston died Monday, March 17, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born Jan. 19, 1915, in Gibson County, Tenn., daughter of Frank and Sammie Brasfield Arnold. She married Clint Wallace, who died Dec. 29, 1970...

CHARLESTON -- Mildred Wallace, 82, of Charleston died Monday, March 17, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Jan. 19, 1915, in Gibson County, Tenn., daughter of Frank and Sammie Brasfield Arnold. She married Clint Wallace, who died Dec. 29, 1970.

Wallace lived in Trezevant, Tenn., 32 years. She was director of the Senior Citizens Center a number of years, retiring in 1991. She had lived in Mississippi County four years, and was a member of First Baptist Church in Charleston.

Survivors include two sons, Paul Wallace of Milan, Tenn., Dean Wallace of Charleston; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Bodkin Funeral Home in Milan after 5 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Bodkin Chapel. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery near Milan.

McMikle Funeral Home at Charleston was in charge of local arrangements.
