CAMBRIA, Ill. -- Mildred Veneva Stephens, 83, formerly of Morley, died Sunday, March 17, 1996, at the Shawnee Christian Nursing Center in Herrin, Ill.
She was born May 22, 1912, at Como, daughter of Finas Crabb and Annie Trammell. She and Ira Charles Stephens were married Oct. 8, 1932, at Portageville. He died July 23, 1985.
Stephens owned Stephens Shoe Outlet in Morley. She was a member of the Cambria Christian Church and the Morley Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Sherry of Cambria; two grandchildren, Lawrence Sherry of Cambria and Mark Stephens of Farmington; and a great-granddaughter, Lauren Sherry of Cambria.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, a brother and three sisters.
Graveside funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Forest Hills Cemetery in Oran.
Riggin-Pillatsch Funeral Home in Carterville, Ill., is in charge of arrangements.
