SIKESTON -- Mildred "Nannie" Rankin, 87, of Sikeston, died Thursday, May 15, 1997, at St. Frances Medical Center.
She was born Aug. 9, 1909, in Marion, Ky., the daughter of Robert E. Lee and Anna Belle King Drury.
In March 1925, she married Wilbur Rankin. He died in Oct. of 1952.
She was a homemaker. She was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include a daughter, Naomi Smith of the home in Sikeston; two grandchildren whom she raised, Belinda Overbey and Ray Allen Smith both of Sikeston: two great-grandchildren whom she raised, John Bryan Skelton and Lisa Rayan Seabaugh both of Sikeston; and two sisters, Lena Katherine Frazier of Henderson, Ky., and Laura Franks of Brunswick, Ga.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nennelee Funeral Chapel Sikeston.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral chapel with Rev. Marvin Butrum officiating. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
