PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Mildred L. Paulus, 95, of Perryville died Monday, Jan. 1, 2001, at Perry County Nursing Home in Perryville.
She was born Sept. 29, 1905, in Chester, Ill., daughter of Jasper Franklin and America E. Bradshaw Claussen.
She married Leo B. Paulus July 25, 1923, at Chester. He died May 11, 1962.
She had been a homemaker. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, Ladies Sodality, Daughters of Isabella and the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary.
Survivors include eight sons, Bernard Paulus, Kenneth Paulus, Russell Paulus and Mick Paulus, all of Perryville, Harold Paulus and Bob Paulus, both of Columbia, Mo., Roger Paulus of Arnold, Mo., and James Paulus of St. Louis; three daughters, Pauline Tucker of Perryville, Mary Dyer of Conway, Ark., and Elta Cattoor of St. Louis; 41 grandchildren; and 44 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son and a daughter.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. Parish Wake Service with the Ladies Sodality and the Daughters of Isabella will be 7 p.m. Friends may also call from 6:30 to 9:50 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The rosary will be recited at 9 a.m.
Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, with the Rev. Kevin P. Fausz officiating. Burial will be at St. Boniface Cemetery in Perryville.
