DEXTER, Mo. -- Mildred Parks, 84, of Dexter died Tuesday, June 19, 2001, at the Vintage Villa Nursing Home.

She was born Dec. 29, 1916, at Hornersville, Mo., daughter of Marion and Myrtle Branum Gowan.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Parma, Mo.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Faye Lawrence of Dexter; two sisters, Mont Gunter and Nell Neel, both of Kennett, Mo.; a grandson; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two half brothers.

Friends may call at Rainey Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Rev. Jodi Duncan will officiate, and burial will be in Dexter Cemetery.
