SIKESTON, Mo. -- Mildred Lucille Parker, 85, of Rolla, Mo., died Sunday, May 16, 2004, at Sikeston Convalescent Center.
She was born Nov. 5, 1918, at Malden, Mo., daughter of George Henry and Ica Lennis Harris Moore. She and James Harve "Jim" Parker were married July 5, 1935, at New Madrid, Mo. He died March 10, 1967.
Parker was a member of New Madrid Baptist Church, was a former volunteer at Sells Rest Home in Matthews, Mo., and a former member of Sikeston Eagles Auxiliary.
Formerly of New Madrid and Sikeston, she had resided in Rolla and Collierville, Tenn., the past three years.
Survivors include two daughters, Sherma Cox of Rolla, Janie Shelby of Collierville; two brothers, George Moore of Parma, Mo., Billy Moore of St. Louis; three sisters, Louise Smith, Dollie Wills and Virginia Phillips, all of St. Louis; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, two infant children, a brother and four sisters.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Gary Henson will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery at New Madrid.
