Mildred Martin Niswonger, 87, of Jackson died Friday, Dec. 10, 2004, at her home.
She was born Oct. 6, 1917, at Daisy, daughter of Tony Sappington and Arlie Roberts Cobble. She and Clyde "Bud" Martin were married in 1934. He died Jan. 29, 1969. She and Frank Niswonger were married May 13, 1987.
Mrs. Niswonger was a member of Oak Ridge United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband; five daughters, Peggy (Kenneth) Borgfield of Jackson, Paulette (Garry) Stone Sr. of Jackson, Carol Garrett of St. Louis, Jo Ella Greive of New Athens, Ill., Bonnie (Larry) Wiseman of Waterloo, Ill.; a sister, Mozella Short of Woodbridge, Va.; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Lyndon Cobble; and a granddaughter, Cindy Jo Borgfield.
Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Craig Petzoldt officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
Pallbearers will be Garry Jr., Tony, Tim and Jeff Stone, Steve Borgfield, Rick and Kevin Welker, and Bill Vinyard.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association or Southeast Hospice.
