MILDRED MOORE

EAST PRAIRIE -- Mildred L. Moore, 74, of East Prairie died Monday, March 13, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born Jan. 15, 1926, in Dorena, daughter of James Clyde and Leora Idella Coates Adams. She and Virgil L. Moore were married Oct. 1, 1944. He died July 21, 1993.

Moore lived in Mississippi County most of her life. She and her husband owned and operated Moore's Grocery from 1962-82. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Larry Moore of Imperial, Jerry Moore of Festus, Gary Moore of East Prairie; a daughter, Darlene Cave of East Prairie; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie after 4 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, with the Rev. George White officiating. Burial will be in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
