Mildred M. Moore, 81, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2005, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Sept. 1, 1923, at Kennett, Mo., daughter of Frank and Anna Howlett Gamblin. She and Thomas Howard Moore Jr. were married Oct. 27, 1945, at Kennett. He died June 21, 2000.
Moore had been a nurse aide at Memorial Hospital in Kennett and was also a beautician. She was of the Pentecostal belief.
Survivors include a daughter, Winifred Golightly of Cape Girardeau; a son, Dennis Moore of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters, Alceba Benson of Clarkton, Mo., Louise Stanfield of Bonne Terre, Mo.; four grandchildren, Roxanne Kasten of Jackson, Jamey Turner of DeSoto, Ill., Brock Turner of Cape Girardeau, Michael Moore of Arizona; five great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a brother, Lawrence Gamblin.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Charles Lance officiating. Entombment will be in Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
