PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Mildred M. Monier, 92, of Perryville died Friday, June 4, 2010, at Independence Care Center of Perry County in Perryville.

She was born May 26, 1918, in Perry County, daughter of John A. and Elsie Zahner Richardet. She and Norman C. Monier were married June 24, 1939. He preceded her in death March 17, 2005.

Survivors include six children, LaVern LaHomme of Perryville, Richard (Kathy) Monier of Jackson, Paul Monier of Perryville, Mary Ann (Ricky) Winschel of St. Mary, Mo., Linda Meyer of Perryville, Gary (Helena) Monier of Steelville, Ill.; three sisters, Lindola Seabaugh of Perryville, Velda Valecorsa of Flint, Mich., Evelyn Biehle of St. Louis; a brother, Joseph Richardet of Branson, Mo.; 16 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Elbert, Harold and Elmer Richardet; three sisters, Stella Topp, Ruby Marcinskowski and Catherine Monier.

Mrs. Monier was a cook with the Perry County School District. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, and loved gardening and flowers.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday at Young and Sons Funeral Home. The wake will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School, Masses or the Alzheimer's Association.
